As the third generation of her family to work in the industry, Emma has had a passion for jewelry and diamonds since childhood. Raised in London and living in New York, Emma is heavily influenced by the vibrant street life of both cities. Emma combines playful urban designs with the elegance of 14KT gold and diamonds, resulting in a fun and unique twist on fine jewelry.

Drawing on her experience as a diamond buyer, Emma hand-picks every diamond which is set into the jewelry pieces. Emma honed her design skills at FIT in New York, learning to work with gold and diamonds to develop the Emma-Jane & Tan collection.

Emma’s design partner, Chris, is an accounting professor turned jewelry designer – putting a whole new spin on the phrase “creative accounting”! Her passion for design and fashion brings a unique set of skills and design perspective to Emma-Jane & Tan.

Being an Aussie, Chris takes a relaxed and fun approach to her creative input, resulting in whimsical classics which resonate with women of all ages. Like Emma, Chris studied jewelry design at FIT, where she learned to translate her conceptual designs into creative jewelry pieces.

Pippa the pug is the Emma-Jane & Tan mascot. Last year she went blind after getting into a fight with another dog. It was touch and go for a while as to whether she’d be able to keep her eyes, but she did.

Even without her eyesight, Pippa continues to enjoy life and give joy – and rather smelly kisses! – to everyone she meets. Pippa’s happy and loving nature is a constant reminder to look on the bright side and to try to make the most of difficult situations.
